Sam and Dianne of Serhant Realty were recommended to me because they specialized in unique and unusual properties and we had a very unique and unusual property. We were an hour and a half from Manhattan, on a wooded 3 acre hilltop site that used to be a summer camp, with two stone cottages from the early 1900s, a garage/studio, quirky sewing shed, greenhouse and what the deer would allow of a wildflower meadow. From the two screened porches - our summer living rooms - on our perch in the Poconos, we could see the more traditional homes on the golf course down in the valley, but preferred our color-filled retreat with its distinctive personality. Because our property was so unique, we had no idea of what the actual value was; Sam and Dianne came out to view it and hear “our story,” and immediately appreciated how special it was. They gave us realistic, honest advice about pricing, and they devised creative, targeted marketing to find the person who would feel the way that we felt about our home of 25 years. The whole experience was just so so amazing. They were prompt and responsive to everything; the communication couldn’t have been better. They really worked hard to get our property sold, from pricing, marketing, staging recommendations and helping us choose the best time to list in our somewhat seasonal market, to developing a professional rapport with the selling agent that helped us solve last minute problems that could have delayed or derailed our agreement. From our first meeting to the last, we felt complete confidence in them, and we walked away with new lifetime friends, Sam and Dianne!

Working with Connie Smith was the best decision we made as first-time homebuyers. Sam and Dianne did a great job helping us to sell my in-laws place once they moved into assisted living. They know the market well and they stayed on top of everything for us while we were out of town.
